Keri Lynn Russell Wiki Biography
Keri Lynn Russell was born on the 23rd March 1976, in Fountain Valley, California, USA, and is an actress perhaps best known for winning the Golden Globe Award for the Best Actress in a Drama Series after creating the role of Felicity Porter in the television series “Felicity” (1998 – 2002). More, she is the Satellite Award winner for the role of Elisabeth Jennings in the series “The Americans” (2013 – present). Keri Russell has been accumulating her net worth being active in the entertainment industry since 1991.
How rich is the actress? Reportedly, the net worth of Keri Russell currently stands at $8 million, as of the data given in mid-2016. It has been estimated that the actress earns $100,000 per episode of the period drama series “The Americans”.
Keri Russell Net Worth $8 Million
To begin with, Keri debuted in the television show “New Mickey Mouse Club” (1991 – 1993), which was aimed primarily at children and adolescents. In her last year her colleagues were the subsequent pop stars Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. Between 1993 and 1998, Russell played occasional roles in less well-known TV series and TV movies, then in 1998 came her breakthrough when she played the main character Felicity Porter in the critically acclaimed series “Felicity” (1998 – 2002). Russell caused quite a stir by making a drastic hairstyle change in the second season of the series. After she cut her characteristic long curly hair, viewers made surprisingly strong protests, and in fact shortly thereafter the audiences watching “Felicity” declined noticeably, so it was decided that major changes by the main stars had to be approved by the creators.
Following the expiry of “Felicity”, Russell had a smaller role in “We Were Soldiers” (2002), the war movie with Mel Gibson in the lead role in which Russell plays the wife of one of the soldiers. Then she had a hiatus for two years from the film business and moved her domicile to New York. In 2004, she debuted on Broadway alongside Jeremy Piven in Neil LaBute’s “Fat Pig”. This was followed by other film roles, including in “The Upside of Anger” (2005) at the side of Kevin Costner and Joan Allen.
Unlike most of her “Felicity” co-stars Keri has received repeated invitations to make guest appearances in J. J. Abrams‘ next series “Alias”, but has refused, although she took a role offered in Abrams’ film “Mission: Impossible III” (2006). Later, she had guest roles in “Into the West – in the West and Scrubs” (2006), “Bedtime Stories” (2008), “Leaves of Grass” (2009), “Austen Country” (2013) and other films and series. Currently, she is working in the television series “The Americans” (2013 – present).
Finally, in the personal life of the actress, Russell married Shane Deary on the Valentine’s Day in 2007; in June 2007 their son was born, and in 2011 their daughter was born, but they divorced in 2013. Since the beginning of 2014, she and the actor Matthew Rhys have been in a relationship.

1 | I know not every mom is a secret KGB spy, but every mom has this whole other life. Every dad and every person has this whole other life. |
2 | I am crazy for dessert. I eat everything. No one should be denied anything... just don't eat the whole thing. |
3 | Naps are the key to relieving stress. When you are working on two hours of sleep, the fact that cheese comes on something when you ordered it with no cheese is enough to send you crying under the covers for an hour. |
4 | Acting is a strange profession, and, yes, sometimes I struggle with its worth, its value in the world. |
5 | Dance has helped me with everything. It was a great foundation for discipline, hard work and, unfortunately, the ever-elusive idea of perfection. It lends itself easily to fight choreography, because that's what it really is. Choreography. And knowing how to move with someone. |
6 | I am positive I was not a neglected child. I remember reading 'The Jungle Book' and 'The Sleeping Beauty.' |
7 | I love doing laundry! It's so satisfying. I love the way it smells. I love doing the sheets. |
8 | Anything that opens you up emotionally is going to impact your acting. Parenthood, becoming a mom, certainly does that. |
9 | I am literally the worst person at keeping secrets. I'd be the worst spy of all time. |
10 | I want to be able to raise my kid. I was totally being a martyr about it at first, thinking I could totally do it on my own, which I did for a while. I've hired a babysitter before, but as for a full-time caregiver... for a control freak like me, it ain't gonna happen! |
11 | People still take it really personally. They come up to me at breakfast places like, 'When are you growing your hair back?' |
12 | People expect all women to react the same to pregnancy. But anyone who's been around pregnant women knows that it's not all cutesy and sweet. You spaz out and you're angry and you have tantrums. |
13 | Dance is definitely what I love doing much more than anything else. |
14 | Who knows? Maybe years from now I'll be on a ranch in Colorado with 10 kids. The whole point of life is to experience a little bit of everything, and I think it's better when there are a few surprises thrown in. |
15 | It's sad when girls think they don't have anything going on except being pretty. |
16 | Sometimes it's the smallest decisions that can change your life forever. |
17 | Yeah, I like being on my own. I do. I tend to be a loner, so I'm okay. I'm not okay when I have to be around everyone all the time. |
18 | People - not just in their teenage years - hold on to this fantasy of love when they're not ready to have a real relationship. |

A letter-writing campaign saved the show for another season, and the WB network came up with a resolution, where young stars will not alter their current hairstyles as a strategy to avoid a TV series airing on the WB network, to cause it to be cancelled, or for worse, having an actor/actress fired or subsequently terminated out of his/her contract. |
