Published: 2:30 pm, 26 July 2023
Sunday is All-Ireland Senior Football Final day and BBC Sport will have live coverage of this year’s showpiece decider across BBC iPlayer, BBC Two and BBC Two Northern Ireland. It’s the first time the Final will be live on a Network BBC channel and available to BBC audiences right across the UK.
Two of the game’s heavyweights will battle it out at Croke Park for the Sam Maguire in an eagerly anticipated showdown between current holders Kerry and Dublin who have been one of the most successful counties over the last decade.
Sarah Mulkerrins presents the live coverage from Croke Park at 3pm for the 3.30pm throw-in. Sarah will be joined in the studio by a team of All-Ireland winners for expert analysis of the game including Donegal’s winning captain Michael Murphy, Oisín McConville who was central to Armagh’s All-Ireland success in 2002 and Tyrone’s All-Ireland winning manager, Mickey Harte. There will also be a host of showbiz stars from the world of drama and entertainment dropping into the studio over the course of the game. (More details will be announced on BBC Sport NI’s digital platforms).
Thomas Niblock will be on commentary alongside Dublin’s eight-time winner Philly McMahon. Orla Bannon will be joined by Conleith Gilligan to keep fans up-to-date with all the latest pitchside.
Kerry will be looking to retain Sam after coming through a tough test against Derry in their semi-final while Dublin edged out a spirited Monaghan side to book their place in Sunday’s showdown.
